De Marchi denies Liverpool striker exit talks

The agent of Liverpool striker Fabio Borini insists the Italian's future remains at Anfield, despite a disappointing debut season on Merseyside, reports talkSPORT.

The 21-year-old has endured a stop-start campaign on his return to the Premier League in 2012/13, and now looks likely to miss the remainder of the campaign after dislocating his shoulder in Sunday's emphatic 5-0 victory over Swansea.

Borini had already missed much of 2012/13 after fracturing his foot on international duty at the back end of last year, and has been unavailable for selection by Brendan Rodgers for most of the current season.

And, with just one goal in 16 Liverpool appearances this term since arriving from Roma in a £10.5million deal, the move can't be described as prosperous for either player or club.

The journeyman forward has already enjoyed spells in England with Chelsea and Swansea, but his current representative, Marco De Marchi, has played down suggestions his client could be on the move again this summer, adding that Borini is determined to succeed at Liverpool.

"His future is definitely at Liverpool," De Marchi told TMW. "He's signed a long-term deal with one of the most glorious sides in the world game."
