Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini shocked journalists attending this morning's press conference, when he openly swore in response to questions about his future at the Etihad Stadium.

The fiery Italian embarked on an abusive tirade when asked for his take on speculation linking Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini with his job, at Friday's pre-match presser, ahead of City's Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

"F****** hell!" was Mancini's retort, to the opening question about the Chilean coach. "I cannot continue to answer about this every week.

"We have another two months [of the season]. In two months you will know if this can happen but I can't continue with this."

Mancini finds himself under increasing pressure at the Etihad Stadium, as Manchester City lie 12-points behind local rivals Manchester United in the race for the Premier League title.

That lead could be extended to 15 points, if Sir Alex Ferguson's side beat Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday, a result that will make the Citizens' need for three points against Chelsea all the more important.

The reigning champions were also eliminated from the Champions League at the group stages for the second consecutive season under Mancini, and without the consolation of the Europa League to fall back on, their trophy hopes lie almost solely on the FA Cup. But, that hasn't changed the former Inter Milan manager's perception, that his future remains with Manchester City

"This is normal for you, it's your job, don't worry, but I can't continue to answer each week about one (manager) or another or another," added the 48-year-old.

"But also because I don't understand this - why would Manchester City change their manager? For what reasons?"
