Arsene Wenger has admitted the clash between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday will be a tight affair but is confident his side can come away from White Hart Lane with a victory.

Andre Villas-Boas’ side are four points ahead in the Premier League and a win would give their top four hopes a huge boost, as well as help forget the 5-2 drubbing they were handed in the corresponding fixture at Emirates Stadium in November.

Meanwhile, former Spurs captain Ledley King believes his team can finish as high as second if they can prevail in the north London derby.

He also claimed finishing second would be the perfect springboard for a title challenge next season

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the set up at German club Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga leaders are in sensational form this season and Ferguson says it wouldn’t hurt the Old Trafford club to emulate the Bayern boardroom set up, which employs a number of former players.

Interim Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has asked the fans at Stamford Bridge to provide a “fantastic atmosphere supporting the team” on Saturday when they host West Brom in the Premier League.

Many have predicted quite the opposite following the Spaniard’s criticism of the Chelsea supporters that had been aiming chants at him since his arrival.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany looks to have failed in his struggle to get fit for the clash with Aston Villa on Monday night.

The Belgium international has missed the last five games because of a thigh injury.

And finally, Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba has said he will “go nuts” if he scores against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Satruday.

The Spain international scored a late consolation in the 3-1 defeat to los Blancos at Camp Nou on Tuesday and hopes he can find the net again in happier circumstances in the week’s second clasico.
