Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala is flattered by gossip linking him to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

The French under-21 international told Sky Sports he would be interested in a move to the Premier League in the future, but insisted he was happy to remain at the Portuguese club for now.

"I have a contract here till June 2016, however all players want to play one day in the top league in Europe," he said. "I am no different to that.

"To be linked with clubs of the stature of Tottenham or Manchester United is the best feeling.

"I want to finish the season strongly and see at the end of the season if the reports are true."

Spurs and United scouts are believed to be keeping an eye on the 22-year-old, who has four goals this season, as they look to boost their defensive options, but interest has also been shown by AC Milan and Manchester City.

Mangala has been a regular at the heart of a Porto defence that has conceded just 10 goals in 21 league games, including only two in the last nine across all competitions. Despite being undefeated, Porto are only second in the Portuguese league table.

However, they have one foot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a 1-0 victory in the first leg of their tie against Malaga.
