Chelsea have denied quotes attributed to chief executive Ron Gourlay that the west London club have opened contract talks with Frank Lampard.

Gourlay was quoted by media outlets as saying talks over a new deal were progressing, however in the interview from which the comments were lifted on Chelsea’s website, Gourlay refuses to discuss Lampard’s future.

And finally, Real Madrid superstar reportedly has a multi-million pound framed contract offer from Manchester City in his Madrid home.

The Daily Mail say the sum on offer from City in 2011 was so large the Portuguese international has put it on display.
