Arsenal are interested in signing Italian under-21 goalkeeper Mattia Perin, according to the player's agent.

Perin is currently on loan at Serie A strugglers Pescara from Genoa and the 20-year-old's agent, Matteo Roggi, has said the 'keeper has received attention from England, Spain and his homeland, Italy.

Nevertheless, Perin is expected to return to Genoa, where he is under contract until 2017, before leaving to any of the interested parties. Plus, Perin will come at a hefty price tag, with his agent quoting a payment of €20million is needed to secure his services.

Roggi told "There are many clubs interested in him: Arsenal, Barcelona, AC Milan. It has also been said about Juventus, Napoli and Roma.

"Currently, however, there is only one certainty about Mattia's future, he will return to Genoa at the end of his loan and there is a mutual intention for him to spend at least one season in a Genoa shirt.

"Just a month ago we extended his contact until 2017 and Mattia's cost is at least €20million."

Though Pescara are 19th in Serie A and have the weakest defence in the division, Perin has impressed in his 24 league appearances.

Perin has represented Italy at all youth levels from under-17s to under-21s and Cesare Prandelli gave the 20-year-old his first call-up to the senior national side last August for the friendly against England, but he remained on the bench for the whole game.
