Carl Jenkinson has insisted he's determined to keep his side in the Champions League as he believes it's the "pinnacle of football". The 21-year-old is in the frame to face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, as the Gunners hope to reverse a 3-1 first-leg defeat.

Michael Carrick thinks tiredness was no excuse for Manchester United after they lost a two-goal lead in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea. Sir Alex Ferguson suggested fatigue may have been a factor, but Carrick refused to use it as an excuse for his side's poor second-half display.

Vicente Del Bosque hopes that Barcelona can overturn their first-leg deficit in the Champions League. The Spain coach believes a Barca victory will help keep morale high in the national team ahead of their match against France later this month.
