Barcelona are showing a 'strong interest' in acquiring the services of Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to his agent, while the Colombia international is also a transfer target for either Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid, along with clubs in Italy.

Martinez, who has previously been linked with a transfer to Liverpool, has been in sensational goalscoring form this season; finding the net 31 times in 34 appearances during his maiden campaign in Portugal.

Such have the performances of the former Jaguares forward been, Martinez has emerged as an apparent target for Barcelona as the Catalan giants make plans to bring reinforcements to the Camp Nou during the summer transfer window.

However, should Barcelona make a formal approach for Martinez, they are likely to have to battle with either Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid for his signature, with the 26-year-old's representative claiming an 'important' club from the Spanish capital are also interested in his client.

"I can confirm that there's a strong interest from Barcelona. They are not the only Spanish team keeping tabs on him, though. There's an important team from Madrid as well," Giovanni Fiore told Tuttomercatoweb.

"Additionally, there is serious interest from a big Italian team, and a few other clubs have enquired about his availability, too.

"Porto might study any offers they get, but we're talking about big bids here given the player's importance to the club."
