Manchester United and Chelsea could be about to land two of their long-term transfer targets as Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini are set to leave Everton.

According to Metro, David Moyes’ future is and he could be following the Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge targets out the door this summer.

Chelsea have long been linked with a move for Fellaini and the report claims they are putting together a bid for him once the season comes to a close.

The 25-year-old has been struggling of late after starting the season in blistering form for the Toffees scoring 12 goals in all.

Meanwhile, it also claims Manchester United may be ready to move for Baines as their search for a successor to Patrice Evra goes on and they have been credited with an interest in the England international for some time.

Sir Alex Ferguson signed Dutchman Alex Buttner from Vitesse Arnhem in the summer but he has seen only limited playing time since the switch to Old Trafford.

Baines has been steadily improving over the past few seasons and many feel it is only a matter of time before he moves on, especially as Everton’s financial limitations would make it difficult to turn down a sizeable bid.

It would be a major blow to the Goodison Park club should Fellaini and Baines depart, though any transfers would likely bring in sizeable funds for further squad improvement.

Were Fellaini to join Chelsea, he would become one of a significant contingent of Belgian’s at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues already have Belgium internationals Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin de Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois on their books.
