After Tottenham Hotspur just about finished Inter Milan off at the San Siro losing 4-1 on the night, but going through on away goals in extra time, surely now they have a great chance of winning the cup.
Looking at the teams still left in the competition, only Chelsea, and Fenerbahce look like they would be really tough opposition for the north London outfit.
Chelsea, because they are European Champions and will be looking to build on that victory with another (even if less illustrious) trophy. Rafa Benitez will hope to fight off critics and lead his Chelsea side to victory in the Europa League.
Fenerbahce would make a potential tricky fixture for Spurs also, as Turkey is a hard place to travel to, especially when given the hostile nature of the home fans, when visiting teams arrive.
A trip to Russia to meet Rubin Kazan would be a less than favourable option for Spurs. The long journey would take it out of Spurs, and could make for a difficult 90 minutes, should they draw one of the Russian sides.
Although there are still a few rounds to play and in football, nothing is certain, Spurs now must believe they can go all the way as they edged past Inter Milan and put themselves in the hat for the next round.
With star man Gareth Bale available again after missing the away leg at Inter Milan Spurs have as good as chance as any other of going all the way under Villas-Boas.
Spurs' last trophy came at Wembley in 2008 in the Carling Cup final. Therefore their quest for a trophy must be a priority for Tottenham. Could this be their year?
