Liverpool have been dealt a blow as transfer target Guillermo Ochoa has revealed that he is 'happy' at French side Ajaccio.

Amid the ongoing transfer rumours, the Mexican goalkeeper is aware of speculation linking him with a move away from the Ligue 1 outfit, with Liverpool being the main admirer.

Spaniard Pepe Reina currently has the gloves and has over the years been one the real pluses of the Reds' play, but recently inconsistent form and the allure of Barcelona have seen Liverpool looking elsewhere.

Reina has been tipped to replace Victor Valdes at the Catalan giants if the Barcelona stopper does not wish to extend his contract beyond 2014.

Even though Liverpool are understood to be in the hunt for a new goalkeeper, the 27-year-old will not be an easy man for Brendan Rodgers to get with the Mexican keeper delighted with they way his current side are progressing.

"I have heard in Mexico that there is a type of interest from Liverpool but I have to let things happen," he told Mediotiempo.

"Ajaccio are getting better each day and we all feel that we are doing our work correctly in the first division.

"I feel very well, in the professional and sporting way. Physically, I am also very well.

"I am happy with my team, things are getting sorted out in the correct way and the team is advancing."
