Sir Alex Ferguson is set to name two completely different sides as he looks to regain momentum as Manchester United aim for a league and cup double.

The Old Trafford club have a clash with Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday before an FA Cup quarter-final replay with Chelsea at lunchtime on Easter Monday.

Chelsea will reportedly let young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois stay on loan at Atletico Madrid for another season.

The Belgian had voiced a desire to stay with the Spanish side, though the Blues were reportedly keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Arsenal have been given a huge boost by the news that Jack Wilshere is ready to resume full training after recovering from an ankle injury without any setbacks.

The 21-year-old has missed the Gunners’ last two matches and will be rested for Saturday’s clash with Reading as a precaution, but two weeks of rest have reportedly helped him recover sufficiently.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer either Karim Benzema or Gonzalo Higuain in exchange for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

The Argentina international has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, with reports suggesting family reasons are behind a desire to return to Spain.

Tottenham Hotspur will be relieved at the news that star man Gareth Bale has recovered sufficiently to play for Wales in their World Cup qualifier against Croatia.

Andre Villas-Boas’ side have wobbled recently in the race to finish in the top four of the Premier League and Bale will be essential if they are to have any chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Barcelona could be set to lose academy starlet Sergi Canos after Liverpool put in an offer to sign him at the end of the season.

The Catalan press say Canos’ agent has already received a formal proposal out of Anfield and the Camp Nou club would be powerless to stop him leaving.
