Arsenal left-back Andre Santos has said that he would like to sign permanently for Gremio once his loan from the north London club finishes.
After struggling during the early part of the season, the Brazilian returned back to his homeland in January after making just three Premier League starts.
And with Spanish international Nacho Monreal joining the Gunners it looks like Santos has already played his final game for the Gunners.
He joined in the summer of 2011 from Fenerbahce for a fee of €7 million and had been capped 22 times by Brazil.
However, the left-back struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League. His defensive frailties and lack of fitness often put into question by disgruntled Gunners fans.
The 30-year-old had insisted that he would prove himself at Arsenal on his departure to Brazil but now appears to have changed his mind following four starts for Gremio.
He said to Zero Hora: "I'll do my best to win titles. I have won titles at every club I have player for.
"The staff, board and the players have all made me feel very welcome. There is no doubt that I want to stay."
