Sunderland’s appointment of Paolo di Canio has brought about much debate over the past few days surrounding his particular political beliefs.

While there has been an abundance of ambiguity about his fascist tendencies, there is no debate over the fact that he is something of an eccentric on the touchline.

Of course, ‘eccentric’ may just be a nice way of saying completely bonkers, but, whatever you want to call him, the new Sunderland manager is certainly not your run of the mill touchline stalker.
