Borussia Dortmund play Malaga tonight and are favourites to progress after a hard-fought 0-0 draw in Spain.
Manager Jurgen Klopp was one of Europe's most sought-after coaches last summer after his Dortmund side stormed to the Bundesliga title and German Cup in spectacular fashion at the expense of current-leaders Bayern Munich last season.
This campaign has seen Bayern bounce back and win the Bundesliga with both admirable consistency and effortlessness, regaining their title at the weekend.
Bayern also gained more revenge over Dortmund by knocking them out the German Cup after losing to Klopp's side 5-2 in last year's final.
Europe is a different story however, and Klopp's side are still raring to go in the Champions League and would love to match the run or their rivals from Munich and perhaps set up an all-German semi-final.
Klopp has every reason to be confident ahead of the quarter-final second leg in front of what will be a magnificent atmosphere in the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.
"My feeling is that we are going to continue to write this wonderful story. We are ready, we are motivated and we love this competition", Klopp told reporters.
Dortmund progressed from this season's toughest group, most notably beating Real Madrid and Manchester City to advance as winners without losing a game.
The German coach has been building his side over the last four years, and knows both his players and the club inside out.
"You either feel the pressure, or you feel the opportunity, and we see the opportunity", he added.
Klopp was able to rest seven of his starting 11 in the 4-2 win against Augsburg at the weekend and will surely be confident ahead of tonight's game. But, he knows nothing can be taken for granted, especially in the Champions League.
"Everything has been really positive so far, but we have to be careful", he concluded.
Malaga are not push-overs though, so the famously partisan crown needs to be in full voice to see their side through.
