The agent of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard insists he has received no contact from Napoli, despite reported interest from the Serie 'A' side in the player's signature.

Speaking to Italian newspaper Napoli Today, Steve Kutner said that he was aware of speculation linking his client with a free transfer move to Stadio San Paolo, but reiterated that no formal approach had been made.

The 34-year-old will be out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich failing to offer the club legend a new deal, despite his impressive form this season, which has returned 19 goals in all competitions.

Lampard is currently the Blues' second all-time leading goalscorer with 200 goals, just three shy of Bobby Tambling's club record 203, and he will surely be hoping to surpass that milestone before leaving west London in the summer.

The England international is believed to have a number of offers on the table, but Napoli's interest is something that might be of interest to him.

"We haven't had any contact for Lampard from Napoli," Kutner confirmed. "[But] it is a great club. Frank is definitely flattered about an approach from Napoli."

Napoli are currently ranked second in the Serie 'A' table on 62 points from 31 games, and on course to qualify for the Champions League next year. Participation in Europe's elite club competition could well tempt Lampard to see out his playing days in Naples from 2013/14.
