Sir Alex Ferguson claims referee Lee Probert was not strong enough to send off Andy Carroll in Manchester United's draw with West Ham on Wednesday.

Carroll was involved in a collision with David de Gea during the first-half at Upton Park, and Ferguson believes the Hammers striker should have been given a straight red.

Rafael Benitez says Chelsea captain John Terry is not guaranteed a starting berth, despite his two goals against Fulham on Wednesday night.

Terry scored the second and third goals in a 3-0 win for Chelsea at Craven Cottage, but Benitez claims every player must 'stay on their toes' if they want to be selected.

Manchester City executive Patrick Vieira hopes Paris Saint-Germain target Samir Nasri remains at the club this summer.

PSG director of football Leonardo has expressed an interest in the French winger, but Vieira wants Nasri to stay at the Etihad Stadium.

Jack Wilshere and Kevin Mirallas will escape sanction from the Football Association following their clash during Arsenal's draw with Everton on Tuesday.

Wilshere took exception to having water squirted in his face by the Belgian forward, but the FA have no plans to investigate the scrap.

The pressure is now on Tottenham in the race to finish in the Champions League places this season, claims Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Spurs are two points behind fourth placed Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand, but face a tougher looking run-in than their north London rivals.

Bayern Munich have no chance of beating Barcelona in their Champions League semi-final, according to Hamburg forward Rafael van der Vaart.

Bayern host Barca in the first leg next week, but Van der Vaart has written off their chances of a place in the Wembley final.
