Former Tottenham forward Giovani dos Santos has refuted claims he was to blame for his failure at White Hart Lane and has hinted he could return to the Premier League.

The Mexican international was sold to Spanish outfit Real Mallorca in the summer, after failing to make an impression during his four-year spell at the north London side.

Dos Santos has since gone onto become a regular at Real Mallorca - scoring four goals in 22 appearance for his new side.

"What happened at Tottenham was that I was not given chances," said Dos Santos on his time in England.

"I'm focused on doing things well here at Mallorca. I have a contract and for the moment I'm happy but in football you never know what is going to happen."

Dos Santos enjoyed successful loan spells at Ipswich Town, Galatasaray and Racing Santander but was unable to hold down a place in former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp's side.

The 23-year-old could be set for a move back to the Premier League if Real Mallorca are relegated to the second tier of Spanish football.
