Luis Suarez was talk of the Premier League town once again this weekend after he took a nibble of Branislav Ivanovic’s arm.

The Liverpool star’s baffling act was compounded when he popped up to score a 97th minute equaliser as Chelsea were held 2-2 at Anfield.

Suarez knows controversy like the back of his hand and there was a sizeable helping of bluster and indignation with his latest act.

There have been calls for him to be banned for the rest of the season to some suggesting Liverpool must sell the Uruguayan immediately.

In amongst the anger being expressed, there was quite a bit of surprise in reaction to Suarez’s chomp.

People familiar with the 26-year-old’s career will not have been surprised in the least, as Suarez has previous in this regard.

When an Ajax player, Suarez was banned for seven matches after biting midfielder Otman Bakkal in a match with PSV Eindhoven.
