Adam Le Fondre is unsure whether his future will remain at the Madejski Stadium next season after being left on the bench for Reading's defeat against Norwich.
Le Fondre has made a total of 29 league and cup appearances this season for the Royals, scoring 12 goals in the process. However, most of these appearences are made up of games where Le Fondre has come on as a substitute.
And with ex manager Brian McDermott tending to use Le Fondre from the substitute bench, Le Fondre would have been optimistic of the managerial change that saw Nigel Adkins take the reigns at the Madejski stadium. But Le Fondre has struggled to make an impact on the new manager, and it seems that the striker has finally had enough of staying on the bench, despite strong performances when taking his chances.
Le Fondre told BBC Radio Berkshire: "I'm like every other footballer. I want to start, I want to play games and at this moment I'm not getting anything."
"If it continues I do not know what will happen.
After the 2-1 defeat to Norwich, Le Fondre has openly questioned the club's rotation policy, a move that will not stand Le Fondre in good stead with the Reading management. Le Fondre has stated that he doesn't understand why he has not had his chance, despite the team struggling for goals.
He continued by saying: "We needed goals and that's what I bring to the table. It is disappointing from my point of view that when we are pressing so hard I can't come on the pitch and influence it.
"I have no idea what happens with me. It's in the club's hands- I've had a half decent season by my standards, " added a frustrated Le Fondre.
