Arsenal have appealed against Olivier Giroud's dismissal for serious foul play against Fulham on Saturday. The striker was shown a straight red card for his last-minute tackle, but Arsenal hope to overturn his three-match ban.

Gareth Bale has his fingers crossed his peers vote him as this season's Premier League Player of the Year. The Spurs star underlined his credentials with a superb goal and assist to help Tottenham beat Manchester City 3-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday. 

Roberto Mancini wants his strikers to show a bit of fighting spirit as the season draws to a close. The Manchester City boss conceded United deserved to be champions after his side slumped to defeat at Tottenham, and he blames his club's failure on a lack of goals.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is the latest Manchester United legend set to return to Old Trafford for a charity match this summer. The Dutchman will return on June 2 for the legends match, which will also feature Edwin van der Sar, Jaap Stam, Zinedine Zidane and Luis Figo.

Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez has warned his teammates they cannot afford to focus solely on Lionel Messi ahead of their Champions League semi-final. The German side host Barcelona on Tuesday, with Messi set to return to the team after missing the previous two matches with a hamstring injury.
