Alexander Kacanikilic has spoken out on Fulham's official website about his delight at returning to the London-based side for the end of the season.

The flying winger has spent most of the season on loan at Championship side Burnley, but was thrown straight into action onhis return on Saturday against Arsenal.

Unfortunately for Kacanikilic and Fulham they suffered defeat, and the Swede was disappointed he couldn't get back to a winning return.

“It’s a shame that we couldn’t get a result on Saturday,” Alexander told “I thought we performed really well. We played some good football, created chances and, as a result, I think we should have probably had something to show from the match."

Despite the defeat Kacanikilic was still happy with the performance and was also delighted to be representing the white of Fulham once again.

“We can’t be happy with the result, but we can be happy about the way that we responded and played. For me, there were positives to be taken despite the defeat. But at the end of the day a loss is a loss, and that’s all that counts,” he added.

“I’m really happy to be back at Fulham. It was great to pull on the shirt again on Saturday and be out there with my teammates."

The Sweden international impressed the staff and fans at Burnley during his stint in Lancashire, but now he’s back to the club he loves and his sole focus is ensuring they finish the season as successfully as they can.

The Cottagers have four games left to finish in the top half of the table, with Everton, Reading, Liverpool and Swansea City the final games of the season for Martin Jol's side.
