West Ham United have begun their 'Olympic Stadium Supporter Consultation Scheme' that allows them to hear the views of the fans, both positive and negative, on their move away from the historic Boleyn Ground.

Much has been said of the decision to move away from the ground where so many club greats have played, leaving behind both the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand and the Bobby Moore Stand.

Fans and club representatives now have an opportunity to have their say on the move into what will be a UEFA Category 4 Stadium which West Ham United joint-vhairmen David Sullivan and David Gold think is important.

"The Supporter Consultation will be the first real chance we have had to garner the detailed thoughts of our wider supporter base about this massive move for our club," read a statement from West Ham's official website.

"From the conversations we've been having with supporters it seems most are as excited about this proposal as we are, however we welcome and encourage feedback from all supporters whatever their viewpoint."

The plan from Sullivan and Gold is to move away from Upton Park and make the stadium that hosted the London Olympic Games their new home in time for the beginning of the 2016/17 season.

The consultation process began on Wednesday and will run until April 30, the survey will be open to a cross section of supporters including bond holders, season ticket holders, academy members, corporate members and match attenders.

The Hammers have given the task of handling the survey to pollster SMG YouGov allowing the club to fully engage with their supporters as they seek to create a stunning new home in the heart of east London.
