Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa could make his first Premier League start since December against Liverpool on Saturday.
The French international suffered a hamstring complaint in the Europa League clash with Maritimo, but now believes he has completely recovered.
He told the official Newcastle website: “My hamstring is fine now and I feel happy that the injury has gone and I can get to full fitness.
“I am 100% fit,” he claimed.
Having restricted Ben Arfa to brief cameos from the bench, Alan Pardew is expected to include him in the starting eleven sooner rather than later.
The Magpies have had a disappointing season – and aren’t completely safe from relegation – but they have been very unlucky with injuries.
Fans favourite Ben Arfa said: “The manager and the doctor have put in place a programme to ensure I return gradually rather than rush back and get further problems in the futre.”
“This was my first muscular injury and it was important that the healing ran it’s course,” he added.
A win for Newcastle in tomorrow’s late kick-off would see them reach the 40-point margin, and effectively confirm their stay in England’s top flight.
The Tyneside club will begin the day in 16th place but could conceivably reach as high as 12th if other results go their way.
