Cardiff City would be interested in a deal to bring former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt to the Cardiff City stadium according the the Metro.
Bluebirds manager Malky Mackay has been promised a £25m summer spending budget by Cardiff's Malaysian owners, in an attempt to see Cardiff perform successfully in their first season back in the Premier League.
And one of the players rumoured to be on Mackay's shortlist is former fans favourite at Liverpool Dirk Kuyt.
Kuyt has had a successful first year in Turkey playing for Fenerbahce, making a mammoth 50 appearences and scoring 15 goals in the process, making him a good player for manager Mackay to target.
Kuyt has a host of Premier League experience from his time playing from Liverpool and the Dutch international spent six years at Anfield between the years of 2006 and 2012.
In his first season at Anfield, Kuyt won a frenzy of media backing, with the Daily Mirror saying Kuyt "has the look of a cult hero in the making" due to his ability to make runs, track back quickly and harry opponents, despite playing as an out-and-out striker.
Kuyt joined Fenerbahce for a fee in the region of £1m and Cardiff are looking to sign Kuyt for a fraction of that amount. The former Feyenoord and Utrecht man will turn 33 this year, but his high total of games played in Turkey this year suggest that Kuyt still has the fitness to play in England's top division.
A key factor in Kuyt's decision to join Cardiff will be the influence of Craig Bellamy, whom Kuyt linked up with so efficiently during his time at Liverpool.
