Bayern Munich outplayed Barcelona for the second time in just over a week to reach their third Champions League final in four years.

The German champions ran out 3-0 winners at the Nou Camp last night to complete a resounding 7-0 aggregate scoreline.

Coach Jupp Heynckes told the official club website: “This team really pulls together. We get through outstanding work together, and we’re tremendously hungry for success.

“Both games have shown we’re capable of football at a very high level. We’re a real team, from the front to the back.”

Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller – who both scored in the first leg at the Allianz Arena – were on the score sheet again last night. A Gerard Pique own goal completed the rout.

Borussia Dortmund lay in wait for Bayern, setting up an eagerly anticipated all-German final on 25 May.

Dutch ace Robben said: “We’ll celebrate getting through to the final, we’re looking forward to it, and obviously want to win the thing now.

“We can be proud and we should enjoy it. The mood is superb. Beating the world’s best team of the last five years so convincingly, and doing it at Camp Nou – what more do want?”

Heynckes’ side has already wrapped up the Bundesliga title, but have the opportunity to complete an historical treble with two more finals to be played.

Bayern play VfB Stuttgart in the German Cup final on 1 June, and will hope they have secured their first European Cup since 2001 to round off an exceptional campaign.
