It's the type of performance pretty much every player, no matter what level they play at, dreams of.

Thanks to Roy of the Rovers and other football-based schoolboy literature, every striker has dreamed of bagging a match-winning hat-trick, while every young goalkeeper wants to pull off a sensational save from a last gasp penalty and be the hero.

Well, now there is one player who can say he has done both.

Pantelis Tavrou, a 31-year-old from the Cypriot lower leagues, put in what is probably the greatest individual performance of all time.

Playing for Xylotymvou 2006 against Hercules Gerolakkos back in February, Tavrou got off to a flying start by scoring a hat-trick to put his side in command at 3-1.

But the match wasn't over there. Xylotymvou had two players sent off including their goalkeeper who gave away a penalty in the process.

Having used up all their subs, Xylotymvou looked to one man to don the gloves.

That's right, up stepped Tavrou and he only went and saved the penalty. But more drama was to come as the referee ordered a retake for encroachment. He only went and saved it again didn't he!

Check out the brilliant video below!
