Roberto Mancini is refusing to give too much away as Manchester City prepare for a squad overhaul this summer in a bid to reclaim the Premier League title from city rivals, Manchester United.
Eden Hazard and Robin van Persie are just a few players who were on Mancini's wish-list last season, but he lost out to Chelsea and United respectively. Having missed out on his top targets last time round, Mancini is more determined than ever to tie down some world class players.
Whilst there has been a whole host of players linked with a high-profile move to the Etihad, Mancini is remaining tight-lipped over potential targets - even joking that he may not be the right person to be asking.
Speaking to The Daily Express, he said: "You want to speak with me, wth Pellegrini, with Gurdiola, with Mourinho, with who?
"My strategy is only one, to get the second position and try and win the FA Cup. After this we start to work for next year."
One player who is reportedly set for a summer switch is Shakhtar Donetsk's £20 million-rated Brazilian midfielder, Fernandinho. Yet Mancini dampened talk of an imminent move and denied an interest in the player.
"I don't know this," he said. "We can talk about Fernandinho. Fernandinho is a good player but he plays for Shakhtar.
"I don't think there are a lot of good players (available) around the world. There are also four or five top teams who want to buy good players. It could be difficult."
