Neymar has told teammates he will not be waiting until after World Cup 2014 in Brazil and will move to Barcelona this summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazil superstar has informed Santos players that he is ready to contradict what he has been saying publicly and will make the switch to Camp Nou after the Confederations Cup this summer.

The report claims Barcelona are ready to pay the €40million to bring the 21-year-old to Cataluña as soon as possible, after making a €10million down payment on him in and securing a pre-contract agreement.

Neymar has reportedly opted for Barcelona despite getting a lucrative offer from La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

Earlier this week Spanish press were reporting that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was ready to spend as much as €100million to try and lure Neymar away from Barcelona.

To no avail, however, as the same reports claimed Neymar had rejected the advances out of the Spanish capital, such was his desire to join the likes of Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.
