Last Saturday, Ben Watson's late glancing header earned Wigan Athletic a famous 1-0 victory over the much-fancied Manchester City at Wembley in the FA Cup final.
So, with that image still fresh in our minds, let's take a look at three of the best goals to have graced FA Cup finals.
1. Ricky Villa | Tottenham v Manchester City | 1981 FA Cup final replay
The tall Argentine showed the perfect display of balance and trickery as he picked up the ball outside the box, took it around three players and delicately caressed the ball past the goalkeeper.
It was a wonder-goal which won an epic final replay at Wembley.

2. Steven Gerrard | Liverpool v West Ham | 2006 FA Cup final
A breathtaking 35-yard strike. The fact that it was the goal that drew Liverpool level at 3-3 and that it was in injury-time only makes the goal more impressive.
Liverpool would go on to win the FA Cup all thanks to a man that epitomises all that is great about the club.

3. Keith Houchen | Coventry City v Tottenham | 1987 FA Cup final
A classic striker’s goal. Houchan picks up the ball on the edge of the box, lays it to the winger before turning and making a darting run into the box. The cross comes in and Houchen dives to head the ball into the corner of the goal.
Any young strikers should watch this goal as it is the perfect example of what a forward needs to do.

These are, in my opinion, the three best goals in FA Cup finals; however, there are many more that I haven’t talked about.
Which goals would be on your list?
