Rajasthan Royals captain Rahul Dravid has responded to the arrest of three teammates, including India international Sreesanth, in connection with alleged spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League.

Along with Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan have also been detained on corruption charges on Wednesday, and the trio are set to appear in court to respond late on Thursday relating to three matches this month.

Sreesanth has played 27 Test matches for India, the last of which came against England in 2011, while he has represented his country over 50 times in one-day international cricket.

IPL encounters with Pune Warriors, Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians are all alleged to have been fixed, and the arrest of the three players has resulted in their immediate suspension by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Dravid expressed his disbelief at the claims by Indian police, who have also arrested 11 bookmakers, and insists the Royals will continue a 'zero-tolerance' approach on any allegations of wrongdoing by their players.

"The players and people around the team are hurting," said the Indian batting legend. "Our players are devastated that our performances may have been affected, as they have a desire to win that has been evident throughout the tournament.

"For me as a captain and leader, I have to focus on ensuring the team fulfil their enormous potential and continue to play in the Rajasthan Royals way.

"We as a team take a zero-tolerance view of the situation. The owners and management have made their zero-tolerance policy clear at every possible moment. I am sure they will support every action taken."
