Nowadays, youngsters play a major role in today's football. Whether it be on or off the pitch, they provide the game that extra bit of excitement, and raise of football fans off their seats.

Here, I am going to delve deeper into their world, and make a team consisting of today's most prosperous players:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois | Atlético Madrid (on loan from Chelsea)

As a young man, Courtois has shown some extraordinary capability as a goalkeeper. He has developed into a regular player for La Liga side Atlético Madrid, totalling 112 appearances and keeping an exceptional 43 clean sheets this season.

Furthermore, he is a regular for his national side, Belgium. He is definitely a one to look out for in the future, and slotted into this list easily, as he is a very exciting player to watch.

Right-back: Daniel Carvajal | Bayer Leverkusen

Although he is not famous amongst many football fans, Carvajal slotted into this list easily. His excellent football brain and his dynamic movement around the pitch raises a number of eyebrows in the Bundesliga.

He currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen, after moving from Real Madrid, which will soon be regretted. He is an exceptional player for his age, and looks as if he is going to succeed in years to come.

Centre-back: Raphaël Varane | Real Madrid

Varane's name became known after his solid performance against Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. His impressive defending led the Spanish side through to the next round.

He has only recently become a regular player, and his impressive defending has definitely sent some good vibes flying around the stands. Moreover, he has a very good capability to stick to his marker, and has an extraordinary amount of pace for a centre-back.

Centre-back: Matija Nastasić | Manchester City

Again, Nastasić made his name on the European stage - against Real Madrid. Ever since then, he has become a major part of Manchester City's team.

His excellent speed, composure and exceptional ability to make a long pass makes him a leader of men and a very good centre-back. Pairing him and Varane up at the back would make any defence complete.

Left-back: Mattia De Sciglio | AC Milan

Again, not that famous a player, but is easily one of the most promising defenders. AC Milan are known for bringing up some quality players, and this is one of them.

Defensive-midfielder: Jack Wilshere | Arsenal

Wilshere is easily at the top of the list for the most prosperous central midfielders. His ability, his commitment, and his brilliant football brain makes him an exceptional young footballer.

Although he is surrounded by injuries, once he gets into full flow, he levels up to the standards of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, and anyone else you could think of.

His ability to pass, his commitment in 50/50s and his aggression easily fits him into this list. One of the best games I have seen him play was against Barcelona in the Champions League. He bossed around the midfield, won his challenges and never got caught in possession.

Attacking-midfielder: Mario Götze | Borussia Dortmund (Bayern Munich from July 2013)

Mario Götze has certainly taken the Bundesliga by storm this season, and last.

His speed, excellent technical ability and silky skills make him a very promising attacking midfielder. He has recently been confirmed in a move to Bayern Munich, which will certainly up his potential for the future.

Lucas Moura, commonly known to his fans as 'Lucas', is very much a rising talent in today's football. He recently moved from Sao Paulo to PSG, where he has made his name as one of the most prosperous midfielders the world has seen today.

His capability to skip past defenders, his unparalleled technique and excellent movement on the ball has led his side onto league victory. He was certainly an excellent buy from the French side, and will make his name in years to come.

Right-wing: Stephan El Shaarawy | AC Milan

Another exciting prospect from Milan has slotted itself into this list, by the name of El Shaarawy, very much a household name amongst the Serie A fans.

He is definitely up their in the heights, already gaining the nickname of 'Faraone' meaning 'The Pharaoh'. Ever since Zlatan Ibrahimovic left Milan, El Shaarawy immediately picked up his role, and it is as if Zlatan was still there. His skill, pace, and dynamic movement on and off the ball excite his fans, and get them off their seats.

Left-wing: Neymar | Santos

Hearing the name 'Neymar' raises the ears of football around across the globe. This is no ordinary talent. Neymar is technically one of the best footballers the world has seen, especially for his age.

He is known for his blinding pace and extraordinary skill, and is soon to be compared with the likes of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. His fans worship him, he is certainly one of the best amongst all the other youngsters out there. He scores goals, he gets round players as if there is no effort involved and jokes around on the pitch with his amazing skill. This player is certainly one to watch.

Striker: Romelu Lukaku | West Brom (on loan from Chelsea)

This season, Lukaku has really proven what he is made of. Although he has been taken up on loan by West Brom, he has taken the Premier League by storm.

Dubbed as the 'new Didier Drogba', he has attracted many clubs around the world. His brute strength enables him to nudge past defenders, and his powerful shot is simply too much for some keepers. He also shows a lot of flair to confuse his opponent, and is classified as a one to watch for the future.
