Cristiano Ronaldo stars in new KFC advert

Cristiano Ronaldo has put this season’s disappointments behind him by tucking into some Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The Portuguese superstar lost the FIFA Ballon d’Or crown to Lionel Messi, finished second in La Liga with Real Madrid and couldn’t prevent his side from crashing out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage.

However, some KFC appears to have put the smile back on the face of the former Manchester United winger – or perhaps it’s the endorsement fee he’s sure to have pocketed for becoming the new face of the fast-food chain in Arabia.

For all the joking, Ronaldo does showcase his skills in the video, beating a number of defenders and smashing home a free-kick after the obligatory wink to a chicken-wielding fan.

A KFC bucket then finds its way into Ronaldo’s hands, seemingly in celebration at the wondrous goal, as Ronaldo ‘shares the taste, shares the passion’.

Watch the brilliant video below, and let us know if you can think of any other odd player-sponsor partnerships…
