Shakhtar Donetsk star Fernandinho has once more spoken out about his desire to secure a move to Manchester City.

Fernandinho is said to be a target for the Citizens this summer, and the Brazilian is keen on a move to the Etihad Stadium.

However the deal appears to have hit a stumbling block with Shakhtar refusing to let the 28-year-old leave Ukraine for anything less than the £40 million release clause written into his contract.

That has been a source of frustration for Fernandinho who has urged his side to lower that figure.

Now the former Atlético Paranaense player has come out and confirmed on Twitter that he wants to make the move to Manchester City this summer.

Asked by a Manchester City fan: "Do you really want to join City", Fernandinho replied "Yes my friend!!!"

The midfield playmaker, who impressed in the Champions League against Chelsea this season, cost Shakhtar around £7 million when he signed for the Ukranian club in 2005.
