Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool could be about to get into a summer transfer tussle over Aston Villa ace Christian Benteke – Inter Milan are ready to enter the fray as well.

All three of Arsene Wenger, Andre Villas-Boas and Brendan Rodgers are keen to land one of the Premier League’s biggest success stories from this season, according to the Daily Star.

Competition won’t only be coming from their Premier League rivals, however, as the report claims Italian press are saying Inter see Benteke as the perfect addition for their summer rebuilding project.

The Nerazzurri could only finish ninth in Serie A after a disappointing season and will be looking to overhaul their squad to attempt to get back into Europe next season.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to splash out £70million on new players this summer, with another striker one of Wenger’s top priorities.

The Gunners will have to fight off local rivals Spurs if they want to land Benteke, as the White Hart Lane club are trying to respond positively to losing out on fourth place to Wenger’s side.

However, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers sees the Belgium international as the ideal addition to his quad as the Anfield club try to make a more concerted challenge on the top four next term.

Aston Villa are desperate to keep hold of Benteke after his 19 Premier League goals saved them from relegation – manager Paul Lambert  has expressed a desire to build a team around the powerful striker.
