Leon Osman has penned a new contract which will keep him at Goodison Park until 2015.

Osman's existing deal was due to end next summer, but the midfield man has put pen to paper on a new contract.

The midfielder has been at Everton his entire career and had previously stated his desire to see out his career on Merseyside.

Osman told the official club website: "I am delighted to have put my signature on another contract and secured another year at the club.

"I have been here since I left school, I am a player and a fan, I love coming to work every day and I am delighted that's going to continue."

Everton had another great season under David Moyes and finished sixth, one place ahead of rivals Liverpool.

It was a season of great personal achievement for 32-year-old Osman too as he made his England debut in November 2012, playing 90 minutes in a friendly against Sweden.

Though there remains uncertainty over who will replace Moyes in the Everton hot-seat, Osman has no doubt about committing himself to the club.

"We are not quite sure what's going to happen with a manager but I am still delighted to have secured my future here at the club," he said.

Several names have been talked about regarding the vacant managers position at Goodison Park but Osman just wants to relax.

"It's time to take the family on holiday now, enjoy it and recharge the batteries for next season," he concluded.
