Borussia Dortmund players embarrassed by Puma ‘flashmob’

Borussia Dortmund’s trip to London took a turn for the worse following their Champions League final defeat to Bayern Munich – and it’s all because of sponsors Puma.

The kit manufacturer had a ticker-tape reception planned for their team at Stansted Airport before BVB’s flight home, and they obviously forgot to cancel it following the heartbreaking loss in the English capital.

And so, when the Dortmund players went through the usual check-in procedures, a bunch of dancers, singers and musicians jumped out to perform for the surprised Bundesliga stars.

What wasn’t a surprise was the lackluster response from the Dortmund players, who were still getting over their Wembley nightmare.

Even more bizarre is the fact that Puma have since publicised their attempt to pick-up the players with messages on YouTube and their official site.
