Van Persie flashes freestyle skills at RVP tournament

When you turn up to your own tournament, there must be a little bit of pressure to impress.

So when Robin Van Persie showed up at the RVP tournament in Holland, with the Premier League trophy in tow, he wasn't going to disappoint the fans.

Along with Sparta Rotterdam's Karim Touzani and Tonny Vilhena, Van Persie showed off some great skills, admittedly against a group of rather enthusiastic school kids.

Some of the flicks and tricks on show are worthy of showboat, while one of Van Persie's nutmegs towards the end of the clip (1min 15sec) is both really funny and really good.

It almost makes you feel sorry for the kids pin-balling around the pitch chasing the ball, until you remember they're playing against Robin Van Persie. How many kids dream of playing against their heroes?

And it's all a bit of fun anyway. Check out the video below - with thanks to for getting hold of the footage first...
