Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva will not be leaving France this summer - even if Barcelona come calling - claims the Brazilian's agent, Paulo Tonietto.

Sky Sports reports how the 28-year-old centre-back has attracted admiring glances from Camp Nou officials after an impressive debut campaign at Parc des Princes.

Barca boss Tito Vilanova is looking to strengthen his defence ahead of the 2013/14 campaign, and is believed to have identified Silva as a possible recruit.

However, according to the player's representative, there is little chance of the South American stopper leaving the recently-crowned Ligue 1 champions, just 12 months after signing from AC Milan in a big-money deal.

"Silva's future? It is at PSG, there is nothing more to say," Tonietto told French newspaper L'Equipe. "He signed a contract one year ago, so it is out of the question that he will leave.

"Could a possible departure of (Carlo) Ancelotti change that? I don't think so. The presence of Carlo had a big impact when Thiago signed for PSG, but they are not linked.

"Thiago would be disappointed if he left, but life for PSG and Thiago would go on without Ancelotti."

Asked specifically about speculation linking his client with a move to Barcelona, Tonietto played down suggestions he has already held talks with the Spanish giants, before going on to reiterste Silva's commitment to PSG.

"Interest from Barca? What interest? Have you seen a proposition from Barca? I haven't, neither has Thiago nor PSG.

"If PSG were to sell there would be a lot of clubs interested. But to me it would be a huge surprise. His future is at PSG."

The Brazil international came close to signing for Barcelona when he left San Siro last year, and the Catalan club have been admirers of his talent for some time.
