Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has revealed he is happy with the way things are progressing on the transfer front at Elland Road.
No signings have been made thus far and the former Reading manager claimed there may be no new players for another month.
McDermott told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It is like everything. A lot generally does not get done in May – even June to a point.
"We are in talks with players and their agents and we have had positive talks with them and as far as I am concerned, we are moving forward."
Leeds finished in 13th place in the Championship this season, although McDermott only took over in April after Neil Warnock left the club.
The 52-year-old signed a three-year deal at Elland Road after leaving Reading who were languishing at the foot of the Premier League table.
McDermott added: "Talks are talks and they mean nothing until a player signs on the dotted line and there isn’t a lot to say at the minute.
"Once a player signs, we have something to talk about. But we are working on things."
So far, Leeds have announced that they will be releasing 10 players with goalkeeper Paul Rachubka, defenders Paul Connolly, Leigh Bromby and Patrick Kisnorbo, and striker Davide Somma the senior players to go.
Loan striker Habib Habibou will also be returning to his parent club in Belgium, SV Zulte Waregem.
Academy players Monty Gimpel, Sanchez Payne, Patrick Antelmi and Jordan Snodinn are the others to be let go from Elland Road.
