Brazil was the place to be over the weekend if you wanted to satisfy a craving for great goals.

England vs Brazil in the Maracana stadium saw Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wayne Rooney and Paulinho all contributed special strikes as an entertaining match finished 2-2.

The famous old stadium was not the only place to host a special strike, however, as Internacional lost 2-1 at home to Bahia in the Campeonto Brasileiro and were stunned early on by an absolute belter.

20-year-old striker Ryder Matos picked up the ball midway in the opposition half after just ten minutes, marched forward a few yards and unleashed a missile into the top corner.

It was a beauty of a strike from all of 30 yards and it was enough to stun Internacional, as Bahia went on to win the match 2-1, despite former Manchester Cunited striker Diego Forlan halving the deficit half way through the second half.

Watch Ryder score a 30-yard screamer in Bahia’a victory over Internacional below (thanks to 101GreatGoals)…
