Chelsea have made a bid of £49.3m for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani after the Serie ‘A’ club rejected their first approach.

The Blues reportedly initially offered £25m plus Fernando Torres for the Uruguayan but Napoli are holding out for Cavani’s full £53m release clause. [Daily Mirror]

Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye has opened the door to a potential move to Manchester United this summer.
