Young Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is set to stay at Chelsea next season, accroding to Bayer Leverkusen's general manager Michael Reschke.
De Bruyne has attracted an array of media interest following a successful season with Bayer Leverkusen, that saw him make thirty-three appearances, scoring 10 goals in the process. It has been rumoured that De Bruyne has been offered a further loan deal by Borussia Dortmund, as they look to replace Mario Gotze.
Present club Bayer Leverkusen also confirmed that they were interested in making another move to take the youngster back on-loan next season, but this looks increasingly unlikely due to the arrival of Mourinho back at the Bridge.
But it is Bayer Leverkusen's manager that has confirmed that the Belgian looks set to return to Chelsea next season, as Jose Mourinho is looking to offer De Bruyne a chance in the first team.
Speaking to German newspaper Bilde, Michael Reschke said: "At a meeting on Wednesday in Leipzig, Chelsea and Jose Mourinho made it clear that Kevin returns to Chelsea."
Reschke also confirmed that De Bruyne's offer of a move back to London may or may not be linked to the prospect of fellow Bayer Leverkusen player-maker Andre Schurrle making the move to Chelsea.
"It was not possible to connect it with the Andre Schurrle transfer," Reschke confirmed.
And De Bruyne further staked his claim for a chance to play in the Premier League next season with an emphatic performance, that included a goal in the 13th minute in Belgium's 2-1 victory over Serbia in the World Cup qualifier on Friday.
