Borussia Dortmund are reported to have made an approach for highly-rated Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu, and are insistent they want a permanent rather than loan deal.

According to Marca, BVB are interested in acquiring the services of the Barcelona forward during the summer transfer window, and have registered their interest with the Camp Nou club.

Dortmund are hoping to sign Deulofeu on a permanent basis, but Barcelona are not prepared to lose on of their most promising young players, but would be willing to allow the player to leave on loan.

The Bundesliga club, however, have rejected this opportunity and maintain they want the 19-year-old outright, which has seen Dortmund's chances of signing Deulofeu become increasingly slim.

Deulofeu could now join Sevilla during before the transfer deadline in August, with Barcelona keen for him to gain big game experience before securing a spot in Tito Vilanova's first team.

The Spain under-21 international scored 18 goals in 27 appearances for Barcelona B last season, while he made three appearances for the senior side over the course of the campaign.

Deulofeu was the joint-third top scorer in the Spanish Segunda last term, with Barceona B finishing in ninth position.
