Jason Dufner has been getting his fair share of air time, most recently promoting the PGA Tour Pro Series Apparel clothing line.

And, as the 36-year-old is busy preparing for the second major of the 2013 season, the US Open at Merion this week, fans of the American golfer have a rare opportunity to see a little bit more of Dufner 'the fashion icon', and his character away from the golf course, with this behind the scenes look at the outtakes from his recent commercial shoot.

"It's great exposure for myself and for my sponsors," reflected Dufner. "I think it helps out with my brand and getting my name out there.

"To have people acknowledge that you're doing well and want you to endorse products and be part of their team. It means I'm doing pretty well on the golf course, which always makes me happy."

People see such a serious side of Dufner on the golf course, when he's in competition mode, but he's a hilarious person with a great personality, and that's why the endorsements continue to roll in.

No stranger to the camera, this PGA Tour Pro Series Apparel advert also features a cameo from Dufner's wife Amanda, who gets the thumbs up from his golfing peers when asked to give their verdict on the final cut at the end of the outtakes video above.

"It's interesting to do things like this," Dufner added. "You're not sure how they're going to turn out because you do different shoots and different parts of the commercial at all different times.

"But, it's no bother being out there and doing the same things over and over again. We're pretty used to doing that on the golf course. We're doing the same thing just about every day.

"I've seen a lot of good responses from some things I've done in the past with this, so I'm hoping that this will turn out just as well."
