Several of Britain's top cyclists will head to Glasgow this month for the British National Road Race Championships.
Former world champion Mark Cavendish and Olympic silver medallist Lizzie Armistead will be amongst those competing at Glasgow Green, which will feature elements of the proposed route for the 2014 Commonwealth Games road race.
Cavendish, the 23-time Tour de France stage winner and 2011 world road race champion will be seeking his first ever national road race title victory, while Armistead will be looking to re-visit the success she experienced in the same event two years ago.
The road race, which takes place on the 23rd June, pits Cavendish against a strong Team Sky outfit that includes defending champion Ian Stannard, last year's Tour of Britain winner Jon Tiernan-Locke and Olympic team pursuit champion Peter Kennaugh.
Armistead, who was second last year, will be up against 2012 victor Sharon Laws, as well as in-form Hannah Barnes and last year's under-23 champion Katie Colcough.
A time trial competition will also be held on the 20th June, with the course to be located in Stewarton, East Ayrshire, with the women covering two laps of a 17km course and the men racing two laps of a 24km track.
Alex Dowsett will be hoping to defend his title in the men's race, but will face stiff competition from 2011 silver medallist Steve Cummings, as well as Andrew Tenant and Matthew Bottrill.
Also entered in both the women's road race and time trials are Wiggle Honda's Olympic team pursuit champions Laura Trott, Joanna Rowsell and Dani King, while junior time trial world champion Elinor Barker will be taking part in her first elite-level national time trial championship.
