Perri Shakes-Drayton will captain the Great Britain team for the first time in the European Team Championships this weekend in Gateshead.
Three medallists from the London Olympics will join Shakes-Drayton with double gold medallist Mo Farah, long jump champion Greg Rutherford and silver medallist Christine Ohuruogu, while and bronze medal-winning high jumper Robbie Grabarz has been forced to pull out through injury.
Reigning 400m hurdles world champion Dai Greene, European indoor gold medallist Holly Bleasdale and world 1500m runner-up Hannah England have also been named.
The Team Championships take place over the weekend with more than 600 athletes from 12 countries competing in 20 men's and 20 women's events.
Great Britain and N.I. will take on Belarus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and Turkey in a battle to become European Team Champions.
Shakes-Drayton is a world champion after winning gold in the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul last year during the 4x400m relay. She has been in fine form so far this season with two wins at Gothenberg in the 400m and 4x400m relay.
The 24-year old narrowly missed out on a place in the final at the London Olympics by finishing third in her semi-final heat of the 400m and came fifth in the final of the 4x400m relay.
Shakes-Drayton seemed in relaxed mood this morning when she tweeted a picture of the plaster she received after having to give anti-doping testers her sample. See her tweet here.
