Liverpool have today announced the signing of Spanish striker Luis Alberto from Sevilla, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old completed his move from Sevilla on a long-term contract, which keeps him at Anfield for the forseeable future.
In a statement on the club's official website, manager Brendan Rodgers said: "We all are delighted that Luis has decided to join Liverpool.
"He has the correct footballing profile and mentality to be a Liverpool player."
Rodgers added: "I look forward to working with him to develop his talent and he joins a group of young exciting players at our club."
The Spanish forward spent the 2012/13 season on loan at Barcelona B, where he provided and impressive tally of 17 assists, netting on 11 different occasions.
Speaking to LFC TV, Alberto said: "I feel very excited, I've never felt so excited before but I'm very happy.
"I think am the happiest man on earth."
Liverpool have already signed ex-Arsenal and Manchester City defender Kolo Toure on a free transfer this summer, as well as agreeing a deal in principle for Celta Vigo's Iago Asapas, which will go through once the paperwork has been completed.
The Anfield club are also continuing their pursuit of Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan, though they face strong competition for the Shakhtar Donetsk star's signature from Europe's elite.
With Sunderland stopper Simon Mignolet seemingly the next to join Rodgers' revolution, the Liverpool have been one of the busiest sides in the transfer market to date.
