WWE officials are said to be extremely worried about superstar Fandango’s health after he suffered, yet another, concussion.
Fandango suffered, at least, two confirmed concussions during his time playing the character of Johnny Curtis on NXT and in FCW.
Although the concussion that Fandango suffered earlier this month are not as serious as his previous ones, the WWE doctors are worried about the superstar because he is not recovering as quickly as he should be.
Fandango passed the impact test six days after he suffered the concussion but he has failed the secondary test on at least three occasions. The impact test is a test to check if a wrestler can cope with the bumpiness of in ring action. The second test is a medical test to see if the concussion is fully cleared and this is what he has failed repeatedly.
The WWE have tightened their concussion regulations since the Chris Benoit case in 2007.
In recent years the WWE has banned chair shots to the head, a previously commonplace manoeuvre, in an effort to protect their wrestlers from suffering concussions.
This tactic has received widespread approval from doctors and veteran wrestlers - who said that they feel the repetitive chair shots to the head have badly impacted their brain function.
Taking that into account the WWE will be very wary in letting Fandango return to the ring and are likely to make an extra effort to protect him from suffering any more concussions.
