Benfica centre-back Ezequiel Garay has given the biggest hint yet that he will be joining Manchester United this summer.

According to the Express, Garay has been spotted house hunting around Manchester in the past week.

The report claims Manchester United officials have already got a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ in place with Benfica to sign the 26-year-old this summer.

A move to Old Trafford now looks as likely as ever after the claims that he was looking at houses in the North West.

New Manchester United manager David Moyes sanctioning a move for Garay could be the beginning of the process to replace two of the Red Devils’ more senior central defenders.

Nemnaja Vidic, 33, and Rio Ferdinand, 34 are both probably in the latter stages of their careers at Manchester United, with the former also being linked with a switch to AC Milan.

The report claims the deal to sign Garay will cost the Old Trafford club somewhere in the region of £17million.
